Our Favorite Trail

A social media influencer campaign with four photographers to create high-quality visuals and community engagement on Instagram.

Over the month of September in 2014, a group of four photographers ventured out to Garibaldi Lake, Joffre Lakes, St. Mark’s Summit, and Dog Mountain to promote healthy living and showcase the trails of British Columbia. We reached over 150,000 followers and generated over 77,000 units of engagement on Instagram — encouraging others to get out into nature. The #OurFavoriteTrail hashtag currently has over 200 photos on Instagram.

The Ideas & Solution for Nature Valley

Nature Valley was encouraging their community to #GetOutThere with adventure-focused visuals and a call-to-action with the same hashtag. With all of the incredible hikes, lakes and adventures in British Columbia I developed and pitched them on the concept for #OurFavoriteTrail — an extension of Nature Valley’s mission to get people exploring outdoors.

Research was done to define the best four hikes to showcase a variety of stunning landscapes nearby Vancouver, as well as the right four photographers to explore and photograph the areas.

The client was provided with high engagement social media posts, a series of blog posts, and a content library for Nature Valley’s brand use.
